<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Part of U.S. Highway 401 will be closed near Wake Technical Community College in southern Wake County Friday morning.

Progress Energy will run power transmission lines across both lanes of the highway between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured along Randsdell and Doneybrook roads, back onto U.S. 401. Traffic entering Wake Tech from north will turn left onto Old McCullers and then right onto Tech Road.
