Man killed in US 264 wreck

U.S. Highway 264 Bypass in Knightdale has been reopened after a wreck that closed two lanes for several hours Sunday evening.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — U.S. Highway 264 Bypass in Knightdale has been reopened after a wreck that closed two lanes for several hours Sunday evening.

The wreck happened at U.S. 264 Bypass East, near Exit 429 to Wendell Boulevard, around 5:15 p.m.

Charles McGee, 50, of Rocky Mount, was killed. Other injuries were reported, but the people's names and conditions weren't available.

Two of three eastbound lanes and the westbound shoulder were closed for about three hours.
