One northbound lane of U.S. Highway 1 in Wake County will be closed intermittently on Friday and Saturday for bridge construction.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — One northbound lane of U.S. Highway 1 in Wake County will be closed intermittently on Friday and Saturday for bridge construction.

The closures will take place on U.S. 1 between N.C. Highway 55 and New Hill Holleman Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A contractor will be working on a bridge for the Western Wake Freeway, part of the Triangle Expressway.
