U.S. 1 lane in Wake County closed Friday
The inside lane of southbound U.S. Highway 1 will be closed between N.C. Highway 55 and New Hill Holleman Road in Wake County Friday to allow a contractor to pour bridge concrete.

APEX, N.C. — The inside lane of southbound U.S. Highway 1 will be closed between N.C. Highway 55 and New Hill Holleman Road in Wake County Friday to allow a contractor to pour bridge concrete.
The closure will take place from 9 a.m. until no later than 4 p.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The work is part of the N.C. Turnpike Authority’s Western Wake Freeway project.
