Positive coronavirus tests for two area youth soccer players has triggered a discussion on the risks and benefits of youth sports during the pandemic.

The two players were in contact with other players. They are siblings, and they had contact with about 30 other players.

The kids who were exposed will have to sit out the next two weeks as a precautionary period as they await testing results.

Bryan Bachelder, a representative of the program, told WRAL News that the program has uncovered 15 positive cases since August.
