Two women robbed while using Raleigh ATM machines

Robbery suspects, Stanley Reed II, 18, and Leonard Walker Jr., 24, both of Woodbend Drive in Raleigh, were arrested Monday, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman using the ATM machine at the State Employees Credit Union at 2401 Blue Ridge Road was robbed Monday afternoon, police said.
A suspect, implying he had a weapon, threw the victim to the ground and stole her purse at about 1:30 p.m., according to police. A witness saw the suspect flee in a waiting vehicle.

At about 4 p.m., another woman was using the ATM machine at the State Employees Credit Union, at 7447 Six Forks Road, when a suspect approached and robbed her, police said. The suspect again fled in a waiting vehicle.

Officers said they spotted the vehicle about 10 minutes later and arrest two suspects: Stanley Reed II, 18, and Leonard Walker Jr., 24, both of Woodbend Drive in Raleigh.

The victims were not seriously injured.
