MEBANE, N.C. — Two women were arrested in the parking lot of the Tanger Outlets in Mebane Saturday after police found stolen merchandise in their possession.

Employees of the outlet mall's Sunglass Hut called police to report a theft, and police identified the women before they left the property.

The first, Karyta Rashown Kittrell, 32, of 1311 Wendell Ave. in High Point, was arrested in the company of two juveniles. Mebane police said they believe the two children belong to the second suspect, Sheconda Olympia Douglas, 31, of 409 Rollingwood Road in Jamestown.

Both women were being held in Alamance County Jail on $15,000 secured bond. They face one charge apiece of felony larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Douglas, who was identified on video surveillance and found in a car in the parking lot, faces an additional charge of  resisting arrest.
