Two sustain life-threatening injuries, third person wounded in Lumberton shooting

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Three people were injured following a shooting Wednesday evening in Lumberton.

Lumberton police responded to 206 Main Street at about 6:20 p.m. and found Dawson Bryant, 66, of Martin Luther King Drive, Nathaniel Douglas, 31, of Lovette Road and Jererd Douglas, 28, of West 20th Street, with gunshot wounds.

Police said Nathaniel and Jererd Douglas were both flown to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Bryant suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Authorities did not say what prompted the shooting or release any information about potential suspects.
