Two sought in robbery near Duke

Three female suspects were arrested shortly after the robbery 10 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Anderson and Lewis streets, but two male assailants fled, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are searching for two people wanted in connection with a robbery near Duke University's campus.

Three female suspects were arrested shortly after the robbery 10 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Anderson and Lewis streets, but two male assailants fled, Duke police said.

Investigators are looking for a black heavyset male with a dark complexion, who is 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black baggy T-shirt, blue jeans and a gold cap. The second assailant was described as a heavyset male with a dark complexion, who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and was last seen wearing gray and white sweats.

Three female suspects – Sherika Burnette, 19, Zecora Hajambo, 17, and a 13-year-old juvenile, were arrested shortly after the robbery, police said.
