— Fayetteville police released a composite sketch Wednesday of a suspect in a Dec. 9 sexual assault on Bonnie Street.

The victim told investigators that she was leaving a friend's house around 5 a.m. when two men in a Dodge Neon drove up to her, forced her into the car and then drove her to Blount Street, where she was sexually assaulted.

She was left at the scene, and the men drove away.

Police created a sketch of one of the suspects, who was described as a dark-skinned black man with short hair in his mid 20s, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was wearing a dark long-sleeved checkered dress shirt with a white tank underneath, black jeans and tan boots.

Investigators said the Dodge Neon was a pale-green, late-1990s four-door with a dent on the passenger side.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department's Special Victims Unit at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
