Two sought in Durham store robbery

Durham police are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery that happened Jan. 12.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery that happened Jan. 12.

Two men armed with guns and wearing scarves over their faces entered Cricket Communication, 1213 University Drive, around 2:30 p.m., demanded money and took money, purses and wallets from employees and customers.

The robbers might have fled in a bluish-green Ford Crown Victoria.

One of the men was described as a 20- to 30-year-old black man standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall with a large birthmark on his right cheek. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black clothing.

The second robber was described as a black man in his late teens or 20s, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing his hair in braids. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and tan pants.
