Two shootings reported on same street in Durham

Durham police are investigating two separate shootings on the same street that happened within hours of each other.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating two separate shootings on the same street that happened within hours of each other.

A man was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday after a shooting in the 1200 block of Wabash Street.

Then, police were called to Wabash Street again around 9 p.m. for shots fired.

One man was shot in the knee and taken to a local hospital.

Police said two cars and one apartment were hit by bullets in the second incident.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
