Two shootings, 3 victims, 1 suspect on loose in Durham

Patrick Parker, 38, of Williamsburg Road, is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, discharging a firearm in an enclosure, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police on Monday released the name of the man they say is behind two shootings in West Durham in one afternoon.

Patrick Parker, 38, of Williamsburg Road, is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, discharging a firearm in an enclosure, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.

On Sept. 8, police say he shot a man and a woman on North Maple Street and a man on Harvard Avenue. All three were expected to recover from their wounds.

Immediately after the shootings, police barricaded an apartment on Taylor Street for more than five hours, believing the suspect was inside, but they failed to find him there. They did not say how the investigation led to Parker.
