RALEIGH, N.C. — Two Raleigh Police Department vehicles were struck overnight on Interstate 440.

After 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a Raleigh Police Department SUV was struck on I-440 Eastbound near Exit 1C for Jones Franklin Road.

The officer was not inside the SUV when it was hit.

The driver who hit the SUV remained at the scene and was cited for failing to obey the Move Over law, which requires motorists to move over and change lanes when possible to give safe clearance to law enforcement officers and other first responders. No one was injured in the crash.
