Two middle school students injured while playing football

The students were injured at Gravelly Hill Middle School.

EFLAND, N.C. — Two middle school students were injured while playing a pickup-game of touch football Friday afternoon at Gravelly Hill Middle School, officials said.

The two male students collided while playing during a break around 3:20 p.m. at the school, located at 4801 West Ten Rd., Orange County Schools spokesman Mike Gilbert said.

Both students were transported to UNC Hospital, Orange County EMS officials said. No information was available about their conditions.
