Two men were killed Saturday evening in a single-car wreck on West River Road in Franklin County, troopers said.

<b>LOUISBURG, N.C.</b> — Two men were killed Saturday evening in a single-car wreck on West River Road in Franklin County, troopers said.

Troopers said the driver, 31-year-old Joshua Lee Ford of Franklinton, was traveling west when he rounded a curve, lost control and slammed into a tree shortly before 6:30 p.m.. Ford and his passenger, Rasheen Auntuaun Crudup, 27, of Louisburg, were killed instantly.

Neither man was wearing a seatbelt, troopers said. The cause of the wreck was still under investigation, but troopers said that severe weather was not a factor.
