Two men from Massachusetts facing drug charges in Nash County
Two men from Massachusetts were arrested and are facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 95.
Posted — UpdatedJaylyn Jackson, 23, of Foxboro, Mass., and Richard Gonzalez, 22, of Boston, were arrested during the traffic stop. Both were charged with level III trafficking in heroin, maintain a vehicle as a place for a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance.
Gonzalez and Jackson each received a $275,000 secured bond and had their first appearance set in Nashville District Court Tuesday. Both were being held in the Nash County Detention Center.
The traffic stop happened just after 2:30 p.m. on Monday near the 129.5-mile marker. K9 Pinka was utilized, which resulted in a probable cause search of the vehicle driven by Gonzalez. There were 202 grams of raw heroin and 14 grams of cocaine recovered from concealed areas in the vehicle.
