RALEIGH, N.C. — Two pedestrians were struck Sunday evening after a car crashed in front of a Raleigh pizza restaurant.

Before 11 p.m., a white sedan went over the curb in front of Lilly's Pizza, located at 1813 Glenwood Avenue. Officials told WRAL News two people suffered minor injuries and some patio furniture was damaged.

The victims were likely dining outside the restaurant at the time of the crash.

The driver, Cassidy Lori Stone, 20, of Cary, was charged with driving while impaired.

Seth Glock, who lives in the area, says multiple crashes have happened on that part of Glenwood Avenue.

"As soon as you hear the tires screech you're just waiting for the boom. As soon as you hear the boom we're out the door to check it out," he said.

Glock and other neighbors are asking police to crack down on people speeding through this area and driving drunk.

"I constantly see people driving 50 or 60 miles per hour," he said.
