— A man and a woman were taken into custody Thursday following an apparent fight in the 3700 block of Western Boulevard in Raleigh, police said.

Police said they received a shots fired call around 3:30 p.m., but when they arrived at the scene, they couldn't find a victim or weapon.

After canvassing the Carlton Avenue area, officers took two people into custody. They released no information on possible charges.

An employee at a nearby convenience store said he heard a fight and that one man was trying to rob another man. The fight moved down the street, and then, the store clerk said, he heard 4 or 5 gunshots.

No other information was released.
