Two homeless after house fire in Fayetteville

Two people were left homeless on Wednesday night following a house fire in Fayetteville.

Firefighters were called for a report of a fire on Galax Drive around 6:30 p.m.

When they arrived, firefighters said heavy fire was scene coming from the home.

Power to the home was cut off because of the extent of the damage, firefighters said.

A large garage with several cars inside was also damaged in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
