Fayetteville police are investigating whether the robberies of two stores on the same street by masked men are linked.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police are investigating whether the robberies of two stores on the same street by masked men are linked.

Two masked men robbed the Happy Store, 503 Grove. St., around 10:15 p.m. Monday, and two men wearing masks and gloves robbed the Wilco-Hess gas station, 470 Grove St., around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

In both cases, the men displayed a handgun, took an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot.

Anyone with information about either case is asked to call Fayetteville police detectives at 910-433-1586 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.
