Two Durham Harris Teeters and four Raleigh Harris Teeters were impacted by threats Monday afternoon.

According to Durham police, officers responded to the Harris Teeter just before 12:30 p.m. Monday on 1125 West N.C. Highway 54 in the Hope Valley Commons shopping center.

Then, just half an hour later, officers responded to a second Harris Teeter location, this time at 1501 Horton Road.

In both instances, police said someone called the store demanding money and said an explosive device was put in the store.

Harris Teeter said the Hope Valley Commons location store is open and safe for customers to shop as of 2:30 p.m.

All six locations have since been reopened.

Raleigh police said the threats made against the four Raleigh locations were not credible.
