FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested two men who are known gang members Wednesday for robbing a pizza delivery man.

Rodrick Odell Alston, also known as “Rod,” and Erik Jackson, known as “E Jack,” borrowed a phone to order more than $40 worth of food from Dominoes Pizza at 5387 Ramsey St., police said.

When the delivery man arrived at the address they gave – 878 Kaywood Drive – he found a vacant residence. Alston and Jackson pulled a gun and robbed him, he told police.

The men were tracked to Alston's home at 4920 Rosehill Road and arrested on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy. Both were being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $20,000 secured bond.

Fayetteville Police Police Chief Tom Bergamine pointed out that both men have criminal records. Alston has previous charges of breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Jackson has one charge of interfering with emergency communication dating from November 2009.
