DURHAM, N.C. — Two people were charged Monday in a Saturday night shooting at a birthday party in Durham, police said.

Ledarius Samuel, 20, and Antoine Page, 17, were charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon. Samuel also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police were called to the Valley Terrace Apartments, at 2836 Chapel Hill Road, for a report of shots fired. Three men were found shot and were taken to a local hospital for treatment of wounds that weren't considered life-threatening.

Police said the shooting occurred during an attempted armed robbery. One of the suspected gunmen was detained by others at the party, while the second was driven to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The shooting remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4440, extension 29248, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Samuel was being held in the Durham County jail under a $1.5 million bond, while Page was held under a $1 million bond.

Samuel was arrested in January 2017 in the shooting death of a 42-year-old man on South Roxboro Street. He was later released on unsecured bond, and authorities said that he then broke into a home in Chapel Hill in February.
