RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested two people Tuesday while responding to a report of a domestic dispute at WakeMed.

Shaun Michael Hayes, 28, is charged with two counts of having a weapon on educational property for allegedly having a gun and stun gun. Because WakeMed is a teaching hospital, weapons are not permitted on the campus.

Brandi Leigh Whittington, 26, was wanted on three warrants for worthless checks.

Hayes and Whittington were involved in the dispute, but police have not filed charges for that.

WakeMed's emergency entrance off New Bern Avenue was shut down for a short period of time Tuesday morning as a result of the dispute, which happened in the parking lot.
