Two Bragg soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Cpl. Colby Lee Richmond, 28, of Providence, N.C., and Cpl. Devin James Daniels, 22, of Kuna, Idaho, died Aug. 25 after an improvised explosive device exploded, officials said.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Two Fort Bragg soldiers were killed last week in Afghanistan, the Army said Wednesday.

Cpl. Colby Lee Richmond, 28, of Providence, N.C., and Cpl. Devin James Daniels, 22, of Kuna, Idaho, died Aug. 25 after an improvised explosive device exploded, officials said.

Both men were assigned to the 546th Transportation Company, 82nd Sustainment Brigade.

Richmond is survived by his wife and 6-year-old son. Daniels is survived by his wife and 8-month-old daughter.

Fort Bragg held a private memorial service for both men Wednesday.
