Two arrested, stolen car found in Roanoke Rapids

Tony Lynn Jenkins, 35, and Phillip Kiah, 20, of 25 Cloverleaf Dr. in Roanoke Rapids, were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, larceny of motor fuel and attempting to obtain property by false pretense.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Halifax County sheriff's officials arrested two men Tuesday believed to be driving a stolen car.

Authorities were on the lookout for a stolen gold Honda Accord, when a deputy spotted the car in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn in Roanoke Rapids.

Tony Lynn Jenkins, 35, and Phillip Kiah, 20, of 25 Cloverleaf Dr. in Roanoke Rapids, were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, larceny of motor fuel and attempting to obtain property by false pretense.

They were taken to the Halifax County Jail.
