Two arrested in connection with Raeford sweepstakes robbery

Two Raeford men were arrested and charged on Saturday in connection with the April robbery of a sweepstakes cafe, the Hoke County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

RAEFORD, N.C. — Two Raeford men were arrested and charged on Saturday in connection with the April robbery of a sweepstakes cafe, the Hoke County Sheriff's Office said Monday. 

According to investigators, Danny Harris, Jr., 41, and Javonda Morris, 29, both of 291 Tonya Loop, used guns to rob the Lucky Charm sweepstakes cafe on the evening of April 27.

Harris and Morris both face charges of felonious robbery with a dangerous weapon, felonious conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and felonious second-degree kidnapping. Both men were in the Hoke County jail Tuesday under a $400,000 secured bond each.

Authorities said they expect to make more arrests in the ongoing investigation.
