Two arrested in connection to Raleigh triple shooting

The shooting happened in the 3100 block of New Bern Avenue around 8:40 p.m.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man and woman were charged in connection to a triple shooting in Raleigh on Saturday night.

Amos Clifton Clayborne, 33, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon. Bonnie Lynn Jones, 35, was charged with aid and abet serious bodily injury.

The shooting happened in the 3100 block of New Bern Avenue around 8:40 p.m.

Police said when they arrived for a report of a shooting, they found a man and woman who had been shot. Both were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police added that a another man was a walk-in patient at a local hospital.
