RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people are in custody and another is on the loose after a police chase ended Saturday afternoon on Six Forks Road in Raleigh.

Authorities said a black Honda Accord failed to stop at the request of police after being clocked for speeding around 4 p.m. on Capital Boulevard.

The vehicle led police down Capital Boulevard and then exited on Interstate 540 before taking the Six Forks Road exit. Officials said the car hit an embankment, landed in the Fountain Church parking lot and then hit a tree.

One man and one woman were captured, but police said they are searching for a third suspect. The woman suffered serious internal injuries and was transported to WakeMed.

Officials said the Honda was stolen from the Greensboro area.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Raleigh City-County Bureau of Investigation all assisted in the chase.
