Two adults, infant killed in fiery Duplin crash

Three people, including an infant, were killed Wednesday night in a fiery crash in Duplin County, authorities said.

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — Three people, including an infant, were killed Wednesday night in a fiery crash in Duplin County, authorities said.

A vehicle carrying five people was westbound on White Flash Road west of Albertson at about 7:20 p.m. when the driver ran a stop sign at Bennetts Bridge Road and collided with a southbound vehicle, according to the State Highway Patrol.

After the crash, the vehicle that ran the stop sign flipped in a ditch and caught fire, authorities said.

The names of the victims haven't been released.

There was no word on the conditions of the other two people in that vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Vidant Duplin Hospital for treatment.
