Band Together and United Way of the Greater Triangle announced on Wednesday that country band Turnpike Troubadours will headline a benefit concert Oct. 28 at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh.

The Mighty Giveback Main Event is a second Band Together event for 2022. Last week, the nonprofit duo announced Black Pumas will be headlining a Mighty Giveback kick-off show on Oct. 2 at Red Hat Amphitheater.

“Two are mightier than one!” said Thorne Daubenspeck, executive director of Band Together.

“We’re so thrilled to be able to present two benefit concerts this year with our partner the United Way and give our community more opportunities to give back. Turnpike Troubadours are selling out shows across the country and we’re honored to have them headline the Mighty Giveback main event. Fans can catch a great show, enjoy our traditional VIP block party, and hear stories from amazing Triangle nonprofits. It’s going to be a great night.”

Band Together events benefit 11 Triangle nonprofits: CASA, Community Empowerment Fund, EMPOWERment Inc., Families Together, Habitat for Humanity of Durham, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, Hope Renovations, Housing for New Hope, InterAct, and Passage Home.
