Truck fire delays traffic on I-40 West near Durham Freeway
Authorities briefly closed all lanes of Interstate 40 West near N.C. Highway 147 Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer caught fire on the shoulder.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Authorities briefly closed all lanes of Interstate 40 West near N.C. Highway 147 Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer caught fire on the shoulder.
It wasn't clear what caused the fire, but no injuries were reported.
Authorities responded to the fire about 7:30 a.m., and N.C. Department of Transportation crews reopened the left lane to traffic about 8:10 a.m. All lanes reopened about 9 a.m.
