An overturned truck on Wednesday dumped debris on Ellis Road near Interstate 885.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — An overturned truck on Wednesday dumped debris on Ellis Road near the Durham Freeway (Interstate 885).
No major delays were reported on I-885 as a result, and the ramp from Ellis Road to I-885 southbound opened before 11:30 a.m. The shoulder of the ramp remained closed.
Sky 5 flew over the scene at 9 a.m., where crews started cleaning up the big mess.
Three weeks ago, a crash shut down all lanes of Interstate 40 south of downtown Raleigh. The interstate was closed for hours, creating one of the worst morning commute Raleigh residents have seen in years.
