Truck carrying straw catches fire on US 264 in Zebulon
Firefighters and EMS were on the scene of a tractor trailer fire Tuesday.

ZEBULON, N.C. — A truck carrying straw caught fire Tuesday morning in Wake County.
The crash was reported before 6:30 a.m. at the ramp from U.S. Highway 264 West onto U.S. Highway 64 West. The driver of the 18-wheeler said no one was injured.
Smoke filled the air, and several emergency vehicles were at the scene.
Firefighters had to cut a hole in both sides of the trailer to get to the straw inside. Firefighters were still trying to extinguish the fire at 8:30 a.m.
Traffic was reduced to one lane, and heavy backups were reported in the area.
