RALEIGH, N.C. — Slick roads Monday evening caused a state Highway Patrol trooper to crash his cruiser into a retaining wall in downtown Raleigh, authorities said.
The trooper’s vehicle hit the wall on McDowell Street, near Lane Street, just before 7:30 p.m.
No other cars were involved.
The trooper was not injured. He was on duty but not responding to a call at the time of the accident, authorities said.
