Triangle restaurant removes 'local' references after WRAL questions source of its seafood
The N.C. Seafood Restaurant in the State Farmers Market, known for its big helpings of Calabash-style fish and shrimp, displays a big "Got To Be NC Seafood" seal. But WRAL Investigates found that to be misleading.
Has all the fish from north Carolina? Yeah, seafood from thousands of miles away, being passed off as local dishes. I'm with Wre on T. V. We're working on a story. If you say anything negative, I'll see you at one of the most well known seafood restaurants in the triangle. That it is misleading and disappointing. Find out where that seafood dish really came from. Maybe a lot of the seafood's not from north Carolina, Only on WRL investigates tonight at six.
