The owners of a Raleigh-based cupcake store were invited to compete on Netflix's baking competition show 'Sugar Rush.'

Brie Marrow co-owns Cake Couture Boutique, located behind the Triangle Town Center, with her husband Mariston. The shop "offers a wide variety of sweet treats, gourmet candy bars as well as full range catering," according to their website. Everything they design is specially-made.

Four teams of two bakers will compete on the show by baking the best-tasting sweets for a prize of $10,000, according to the show's website.

The show will consist of three rounds, baking cupcakes in the first, confections in the second and cakes in the third round.

Producers from the show reached out to Marrow and her husband, but she initially thought it was a scam call. Marrow said filming for the second season of this show began in January, but her and her husband had to keep everything a secret because the show had not publicly announced that it had been picked up for a second season.

The second season of the show will air on July 26 and Cake Couture will have a viewing party all day. Guests in attendance will receive one free cupcake.

Marrow said they will be playing the episodes they participated in throughout the day and will extend their hours by two hours. Instead of closing at 6 p.m., they will close at 8 p.m.
