Trial to begin next month for suspect in Raleigh pool hall shooting

Trial is scheduled to begin July 6 for Dudley Lamar Kee, charged with the 2014 murder of Marcus Rashad Owens.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The man believed to have pulled the trigger in a Raleigh pool hall shooting got his court date Thursday. Trial is scheduled to begin July 6 for Dudley Lamar Kee, charged with the 2014 murder of Marcus Rashad Owens.
Police arrested Kee and James Keith Nelson at a motel in Virginia five days after the shooting at Bar and Billiards on South Saunders Street.

The pair will be tried separately. Three others are charged as accessories in the case.
