Lead Mine Road closed in Raleigh due to fallen power lines

— Lead Mine Road was closed in Raleigh early Tuesday morning due to fallen power lines, and hundreds in the area were without power.

A tree brought the power lines down overnight, leaving them stretched across Lead Mine Road near Mine Shaft Road and Creedmoor Road.

Lead Mine was closed between Lynn Road and Mine Shaft Road while crews make repairs.

Initially, just over 350 customers were without power, but that number jumped to 530 by 6 a.m. Power was restored by 7 a.m.
