Trash truck overturns in Raleigh
A garbage truck overturned Tuesday just before 1 p.m. in the Delta Ridge subdivision in northeast Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A garbage truck overturned Tuesday just before 1 p.m. in the Delta Ridge subdivision in northeast Raleigh.
The incident happened near the corner of Ashbury Cove Circle and Delta Vision Court.
The driver of the truck, Elijah Junior Shaw, said he was rounding a corner at five mph when the truck tipped onto its side. Shaw suffered a minor injury.
Raleigh police who responded to the wreck found tire impressions that contradicted Shaw's account of his speed. No charges have been filed.
