Railroad Work To Temporarily Close Crossings In Raleigh, Cary

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh and Cary motorists could experience some delays next week as work crews upgrade railroad tracks at some crossings, the North Carolina Department of Transportation said Wednesday.

Work to replace old crossties is scheduled to begin on July 5 and run through July 12.

The DOT has scheduled the following closings:

  • Harrison Avenue (July 5-6)
  • Reedy Creek Road (July 6)
  • Academy Street (July 7-8)
  • Nowell Road (July 8)
  • Maynard Road (July 9-10)
  • Powell Road (July 10)
  • Blue Ridge Road (July 11-12)
  • Trinity Road (July 12)
  • Royal Street (week of July 12)
  • Beryl Road (week of July 12)
