Two injured in I-540 crash

Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after a six-vehicle crash shut down Interstate 540 West, according to Raleigh police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after a six-vehicle crash shut down Interstate 540 West, according to Raleigh police.

All lanes reopened at Falls of Neuse Road by 9:30 a.m. The driver of a Jeep Cherokee lost control, flipped and struck the other vehicles, police said.

One person was taken to Rex Hospital and the other was taken to WakeMed. Their names were not released.
