Traffic flowing again after accident closes all lanes on I-85 southbound near exit 180 in Durham
An accident in Durham left lanes of I-85 southbound closed on Friday morning around 9:45 a.m.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — An accident in Durham all lanes of I-85 southbound closed on Friday morning around 9:45 a.m.
The accident was blocking all southbound lanes near Exit 180 at Glenn School Road.
It was reported as a high severity accident. At least two fire trucks and multiple fire fighters were gathered around a white sedan, which seemed to have the driver's side door damaged or missing.
Traffic could be seen backed up down an exit ramp and down the highway.
As of 11:10 a.m., the accident has been cleared and traffic is flowing again.
It is unknown if there were any injuries or what caused the accident at this time.
