DURHAM, N.C. — A tractor-trailer wreck forced authorities to temporarily shut down both northbound lanes of N.C. Highway 147 at West Chapel Hill Street in Durham Saturday morning.

The 18-wheeler hit a guard rail after losing control around 5:30 a.m., authorities said. It wasn't immediately clear what caused the wreck, but Durham police said no injuries were reported.

Both northbound lanes were closed for more than two hours before a tow truck arrived to remove the truck around 7:30.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said the left lane of Highway 147 could be closed until after 9 a.m. while crews work to repair the damaged guard rail.
