A tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 95 near Rocky Mount early Sunday, blocking southbound lanes for about six hours.

<b>ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.</b> — A tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 95 near Rocky Mount early Sunday, blocking southbound lanes for about six hours.

Police said that a truck carrying cardboard wrecked on I-95 South, near the juncture with U.S. Highway 64, around 2:15 a.m. No other vehicles were involved.

Southbound traffic was detoured from the interstate while crews removed the tractor-trailer.

More details about the wreck haven't been released.

According to the Danville Police Department, officers received a tip of prior animal abuse at a pet grooming store on Hairston Street in Danville. In the complaint, a video showed the employee, identified as 22-year-old Cassidy Gill, striking a dog in January and February. The video in the complaint was shared with other social media accounts, including PETA.
