Tractor-trailer ends up in ditch after Johnston County crash
U.S. Highway 701 was closed Monday night in Johnston County after a tractor-trailer hit a car and ended up in a ditch, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedJOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — U.S. Highway 701 was closed Monday night in Johnston County after a tractor-trailer hit a car and ended up in a ditch, authorities said.
According to investigators, a car was turning on to Stewart Road just before 6 p.m., when it was hit by another car. A tractor-trailer, traveling on 701, hit one of the cars and ended up in a ditch.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, but the people in the other cars were taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries.
