Tractor trailer disassembled on Hillsborough Street after Raleigh crash
A tractor trailer and a car collided on Hillsborough Street near Blue Ridge Road on Monday, closing one lane.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A tractor trailer and a car collided on Hillsborough Street near Blue Ridge Road on Monday, closing one lane.
The truck and Kia Soul collided before 5:30 a.m. At 6 a.m., an ambulance had left the scene, and crews were working to remove the trailer from the truck so it could be towed away.
The front end of the Kia was badly damaged. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was no update on the truck driver or the cause of the crash.
Light traffic was able to pass the crash on one lane that remained open, but drivers are asked to avoid the area.
