Tractor trailer crash closes portions of Glenwood Avenue, I-540 in Raleigh
A tractor trailer crashed on Interstate 540 East early Wednesday morning, closing two lanes.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A tractor trailer crashed early Wednesday morning, closing the ramps at Interstate 540 East and two lanes on Glenwood Avenue.
The crash occurred before 4 a.m. near the Glenwood Avenue exit.
Police said the truck driver was not injured, but it took cranes hours to clear tractor trailer from the road, which turned sideways.
The driver went off the side of the interstate and crashed into concrete barriers along Glenwood Avenue, police said.
The cause of the crash was not provided.
