ORLANDO, FLA. — Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear have a home of their own as Walt Disney World’s new Toy Story Land prepares to open in Orlando.

The much anticipated land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park will open to the general public on Saturday.

The 11-acre Toy Story themed attraction includes two new rides, the Slinky Dog Dash Coaster and Alien Swirling Saucers.

The coaster is based on the Slinky Dog character from the films while the Swirling Saucers feature the green aliens rescued by Buzz Lightyear from the Pizza Planet claw game in the first Toy Story film.

Visitors to the new land can also interact with life-sized Green Army Men, play with giant toys and eat Toy Story themed food at Andy’s Lunch Box.

Multiple sources have also reported that, for the first time the Green Army Men troops, which are based on the toys in the film, will include women.

Woody, Buzz and Jessie will roam through the park, meeting and greeting guests.

The new land is one of two highly anticipated expansions announced for the Hollywood Studios park.

In 2019, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will open, featuring a new planet in the galaxy far, far way and an opportunity for guests to pilot the Millennium Falcon.
